There’s No One Lilac You – Hero Arts

Happy Sunday, friends!! The February Hero Arts release just dropped today!! My card features the No One Lilac You Stamp & Cut and the Birdsong Script Cling Stamp from the Spring Meadow Collection!!

I started by stamping the lilac bouquet from the No One Lilac You Stamp Set twice onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. (I only colored the lilacs on one of the images and the glass vase on the other.) The die-cut with the bouquet was popped up onto the vase die-cut with foam squares. I used a yellow gel pen to add a dot to the center of each bloom.

For the background, I white heat embossed the Birdsong Script Cling Stamp onto a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. I smooshed Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide onto my glass mat, diluted it and used a piece of stamp packaging to pick it up and apply it to the background. Once I had the look I was going for, I set it aside to dry. Once dry, then panel was trimmed and adhered to an A2 panel of Violet cardstock. The fifth largest die in the Oval Die Set was cut from vellum and adhered to the center of the background. The lilac bouquet was adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment is also from the No One Lilac You Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto Raven cardstock, cut out with the Coordinating Die, then popped up across the vase with foam squares. Prism AB Color Essential Gems were the perfect finishing touch.

I love how this turned out!! It had been too long since I’d done any ink smooshing!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
