Hello, crafty friends!! I’m sharing with three ways to use your stencils for Crafty Meraki today!! I’ve used the Green Garland Stencil here, but these techniques should work with any stencil!!

For my first card, I embossed the background with the Green Garland Stencil by running a panel of white cardstock through my die-cut machine with an embossing mat. This adds a subtle texture, which is more visible in person than it is in photos. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a panel of yellow cardstock. The flowers and leaves from the Emma Flora Dies were cut from white cardstock and inked up with Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink. The sentiment, from the Gilded Greetings EAP Paper Pack, was die-cut with its Coordinating Die and adhered with foam tape. The flowers and leaves were adhered with liquid glue and Daffodil Dew Drops were added to the center of each of them.

The second way to use it, is the way that most stencils are intended. 

I stenciled the Green Garland Stencil onto white cardstock using Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink. Don’t clean the stencil, we’re going to use it for the third card. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a panel of greenish-blue cardstock. The rest of the card was finished the same way as the first.

For the third card, I used the dirty stencil from my second card.

I spritzed the Green Garland Stencil with water and placed a panel of white cardstock over it, rubbing it lightly to transfer the ink. Once dry, I trimmed it and added it to a panel of aqua cardstock. The rest of the card was finished the same way as the first two.

I think this one is my favorite!! I’ll definitely be using this technique again in the future!!
