Hello, crafty friends!! I’m sharing a card today that I created for my husband using products from the latest Honey Bee Stamps Vintage Love Release!! Our 27th wedding anniversary is at the end of April and I thought the Lovely Layers: Love Birds Die Set would make a great anniversary card!!
I started by die-cutting the Love to Layer: Love Birds Dies from white cardstock. I blended the die-cuts with Distress Oxide Inks to add color and shading. I used Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers. I used alcohol markers to color the feet and eyes and add a bit of shading to the beaks. A white gel pen was used to add some highlights to the birds, beaks and eyes. The perch for the birds was die-cut from pearl gold cardstock using a die from the Lovely Layers: Birdcage Die Set.
For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the third largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and embossed it with the Floral Heart 3D Embossing Folder. I blended a bit of Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers around the edges with blending brushes. Another panel of white cardstock was die-cut with the scalloped frame from the Lace Heart Layering Frames Die Set. The largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set was cut from teal cardstock and all of the layers were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue.
The birds and their perch were adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue. The sentiment, from the By Your Side Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam adhesive to finish off the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
