Hello, friends and happy Friday!! I have a fun die-cut Halloween card to share with you today for Scrappy Tails Crafts!!
I started by die-cutting the A2 Jackolantern Shaped Card Die Set from orange, yellow and green cardstock. The base layer of this die set has “join us if you dare” cut out of the mouth area, but it also comes with the option of cutting out “trick or treat” and placing it over the top, as I’ve done here. I backed the jackolantern with yellow cardstock and die-cut the pumpkin again from brown cardstock. I inlaid the brown cardstock into the grooves of the pumpkin to add some contrast.
For the background, I stenciled the Cute Halloween Five Layer Stencil onto craft cardstock with white pigment ink and Distress Oxide Inks. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn and Black Soot. I laid down a layer of white pigment ink for each layer, dried it completely, then lined it up and stenciled over it again with the Distress Oxide Ink colors. This allows the colors to show up better on kraft cardstock, as the ink sits on top of the white pigment ink. The panel was die-cut with a rectangle die, then added to an A2 panel of orange cardstock.
The jackolantern was adhered to the stenciled cardstock with liquid glue and the card was finished.
Thanks so much for dropping by today and spending a bit of time with me!! Have a fantastic weekend!!
