Happy Friday, friends!! I’m super excited to be guest designing for Scrap Diva Designs for the month of February!! I began by die-cutting background from the Heart Mix Die Set from red cardstock. I also die-cut it three more times from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the red one for dimension. I wrapped white seam binding the panel and tied it into a double bow on the left side, before adhering it to a white card base. The background die in the Heart Mix Die Set cuts a background a bit larger than A2 at 4 5/8″ x 5 7/8″. You could easily trim it or use a rectangle die to create an A2 background, but I chose to use it as is. I’ll just put in a larger envelope.

Next, I die-cut the hearts, also included in the Heart Mix Die Set, from red polkadot patterned paper and white cardstock and adhered them to the background with liquid glue. The Shabby Flower 2 Dies were cut from red and white cardstock. The two smaller sized flowers were adhered together, then added to the background, also using liquid glue.

The sentiment is from the Valentine Word Die Set. The top layer was cut from metallic brushed red cardstock once and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut from heavyweight white cardstock three times. The layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the card. I added a white pearl to the center of each of the flowers and this card was finished.

I love the little swirls in the background from the Heart Mix Die Set!! And the flourishes on the Valentine Sentiment Die make it stand out so much!! Although I created a Valentine card, you could easily change the sentiment and it would be a love or anniversary card!!
