Hello, fellow crafters!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I have a holiday card featuring some of the same elements that I used on my card for Alex Syberia Designs last Monday. I colored all of the sweet mice in the Merry Christmice Stamp Set, so I wanted to use them. I knew that if I didn’t do it right away, that I probably never would…ha!! Plus, this will be perfect to give my husband with one of his Christmas gifts!!
The mice and greenery sprig in the Merry Christmas Stamp Set were stamped onto white with Copic friendly black ink, colored with Copic markers, then cut out with their Coordinating Dies. The sentiment, from the same set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink and cut out with the Coordinating Dies.
The ornament was created by die-cutting the smallest circle in the Nested Stitched Circle Die Set from dark blue and iridescent white glitter paper. The Magic Stars Die was cut from the blue portion and a piece of holographic cardstock was layered behind it. It was splattered with diluted white ink. The white glitter paper was hand trimmed to create the snow for the ground. I die-cut a small piece of holographic paper with the smallest die in the Nested Scalloped Rectangles Die Set, then trimmed it into a rectangle to create the ornament topper. The topper, sentiment, mice and mistletoe were adhered to the ornament with liquid glue.
The background panel was die-cut from white cardstock with the Sparkly Flakes Cover Die. I adhered red thread to the center of the panel, wrapped it over the top and secured it to the back with tape. I tied another piece of red thread into a bow and adhered it to the top of the ornament topper, then adhered the ornament to the background panel. To finish, I added highlights to the images with a white gel pen and three tiny red rhinestones to the mistletoe.
I’ve gifted my husband an ornament every year since we started dating, so I think this will be perfect to accompany that gift!!
Thanks for hanging out with me for a bit today!! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you soon!!
