Happy Friday, friends!! I’m surfing (ha! I wish!) into August with a card created with some goodies from one of the newest companies to hit the market!! My friend, Erin Thompson (who also hosts the Nashville Craft Retreat, which I have attended 3 times and can’t wait until the next one at the end of May 2026!) debuted her My Pretty Things line at the NCR and several of the products sold out instantly!! Can’t you can see why?!? They are absolutely adorable!! My card features the Waving Hello Stamps & Coordinating Dies, the Layered Waves Die Set and the Sweet Sunshine Dies!!

I started by stamping the darling images in the Waving Hello Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Honey Bee Intense Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. A black glaze pen was used to add some shine to the critters’ eyes, noses and the sunglasses, then I used a white gel pen to add in some highlights and details.

For the background, I blended Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks onto an A2 panel of smooth white cardstock. The dies in the Layered Waves Die Set were cut from white and two different shades of aqua cardstock. To add some shine to the waves, I swiped Versamark Ink along the top edge of each one, added Frosted Crystal Embossing Medium, then heated it until melted. I also added some white acrylic paint to the top to create some more dimension and help the waves stand out a bit more. (I did the same technique to the bottom of each of the critter die-cuts to make it look like foam.)
The sun was die-cut from yellow cardstock with a die from the Sweet Sunshine Die Set. I added a bit of darker yellow dye in to the center and adhered it in the upper, right corner, trimming away the excess. The waves were layered and adhered across the bottom of the panel with liquid glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. The surfer at the bottom was tucked into the wave and adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape and the bottom critter was popped up with foam tape. The surfer at the top was added with an action wobbler. I love how he looks like he’s catching the wave!! Head over to my Instagram Stories to see it in action (@mypapercutcreations)!!

The sentiments are also included in the Waving Hello Stamp Set. They were stamped onto white cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Dies (love that she has coordinating dies for the sentiments). They were also popped up with foam tape. To finish, I added some aqua and teal sequins from the Sea Stars Shaker Mix around the sentiment and a small flower from the Chandelier Shaker Mix to the flower on the bottom hippo. (It was in the center of the flower, but it slid down before I took the photo.)

I LOVE how this turned out!! All the dimension and that surfer dude on the action wobbler just makes the card!!
I’d love it if you’d go check out the My Pretty Things shop!! Erin is just getting started!! I’ve seen some sneak peeks of her holiday release and…oh my goodness, is it adorable!! Her IG handles are @myprettythings.mpt and @nashville_craft_retreat!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
