Hello crafty friends!! I just love making & giving cards that are a unique shape and Honey Bee has the best dies for making shaped cards!! The Mason Jar Card Honey Cuts can be used in so many ways!! Today, I paired it with the Goodness Gracious stamp set & Coordinating Honey Cuts for my sweet card.
To begin, I cut the jar portion of the mason jar from Bristol paper and the lid from red polka-dot patterned paper. I ink blended Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey & Mustard Seed Distress Oxides onto the jar, then splattered it with water & picked up the excess with a paper towel. Once dry, I ran the front of the card back through my die-cutting machine with the Hexagon Cover Plate Stipple Honey Cut. I love the subtle honeycomb texture this adds to the jar!! The label, also from the Mason Jar Card Honey Cuts, was cut from white cardstock, adhered to red cardstock, then fussy cut around. The Goodness Gracious Honey Cuts were used to cut the Gracious portion of the sentiment from red & black cardstock. Well, Goodness, from the Goodness Gracious stamp set, was stamped in two lines with Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto the label. The banner was also cut from the Goodness Gracious Honey Cuts. I stamped the rest of the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it in white. The label was adhered to the jar with foam adhesive, as was the sentiment banner. I wanted to add a couple of bees and the ones from the Bee Hive stamp set were the perfect size. After coloring them with Copic markers, I die-cut them using the Bee Hive Honey Cuts and popped them up with foam adhesive.
I hope I have inspired you to make some shaped cards today!!
Have a great week & I’ll see you soon!!
