Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you’re all doing well!! I have a dramatic fall card to share with you today for Honey Bee Stamps!! I feel like I’m “late to the party” for this blackout technique with an embossing folder!! Have you tried it yet?!? I don’t know what took me so long!!
I started by die-cutting a panel of white cardstock with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and embossing it with the Fall Forest 3D Embossing Folder. I added autumn colors to the trees using Beeluxe Blending Brushes and dye inks. I “drug” the Bee Creative Gold Pigment Ink Pad and the Intense Black Ink Pad over the panel, keeping the ink pads flat on the cardstock and allowing the raised areas to grab the ink, then set it aside to let it dry. Such a cool effect!!
I trimmed another panel of white cardstock to about 1/8″ larger that the embossed panel and die-cut a piece of kraft cardstock with the largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set. Once the ink was dry on the embossed panel, I adhered it to the white one with Bee Creative Glue, then wrapped a piece of natural and gold twine around it twice and tied it into a bow. It was then adhered to the kraft panel, also using Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment, from the Blessings of Fall Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink, then embossed with gold embossing powder. It was die-cut with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together with Bee Creative Glue, then adhered to the front of the card. A few gold pearls from the Harvest Pearls Sticker Pack finish off the card.
Have you tried this technique?!? I’m ready to pull out the rest of my embossing folders now!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!!
