Hello, friends and happy Wednesday!! I hope your day is off to a great start!!

Sympathy cards are some of the most difficult to create, so I like to have a few on hand when the occasion arises. I try to keep the card pretty simple and just focus on the message and meaning. My card today features the Birds & Blooms Stamps & Coordinating Dies and the Fancy Rose Oval Dies from Scrappy Tails Crafts.

I began by stamping the images and sentiment from the Birds & Blooms Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

I wanted to keep the background crisp white, but add some interest to it. I die-cut the Fancy Rose Oval Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white card base. The planter with the flowers was adhered with liquid glue, while the floral with the bird and sentiment die-cuts were popped up with foam tape.

I added a few dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen and this card was finished.

I love the simple elegance and think it’s the perfect vessel to express your condolences.
