Happy Thursday, crafters!! I have an autumn card to share today featuring the A7 Sunflower Bookframe Cover Plate Die Set from Scrappy Tails Crafts!! Although the frame die in the set is sized for an A7 card, I created an A2 card without the frame today!! Such a perfect way to brighten someone’s day!!
I began by die-cutting the sunflowers, leaves and top layer of the sentiment in the A7 Sunflower Bookframe Cover Plate Die Set from white cardstock. I added color and shading to the die-cuts using blending brushes and the following Distress Inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Vintage Photo, Black Soot, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss. I also die-cut the top layer of the sentiment two more times from heavyweight white cardstock to adhere behind the inked one for dimension. The shadow layer of the sentiment was cut from black cardstock, plus three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. Once the ink was dry, I assembled each element using liquid glue.
For the background, I trimmed a panel of brown gingham pattern paper, from the Harvest Blessings Paper Pad, slightly smaller than A2 and adhered it to an A2 panel of black cardstock. The sunflowers, leaves and sentiment were all arranged and adhered with liquid glue.
To finish, I added Stardust Stickles around the centers of the flowers for a little sparkle.
Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers!! They’re just so happy, don’t you think?!?
Thank you so much for stoping by!! Have a great day and I’ll see you soon!!
