Hello, friends!! Happy Tuesday!!
I have a pineapple themed card to share with you today for Honey Bee Stamps! Pineapple is probably my favorite fruit, so I wanted to create a fun card for a friend using the pineapple themed goodies from the newest Hello Summer Release!!
I began by stamping the pineapple from the Fineapple stamp set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. After coloring it with Copics, I cut it out with the Coordinating Honey Cut. This stamp set also has layering images, if coloring isn’t your thing!
For the background, I ink blended Rusty Hinge, Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks onto panels of Bristol smooth cardstock. I cut the lighter two panels out with the Pineapple Lattice Base and Pineapple Lattice Top Dies and adhered them to the darker panel.
For the greeting, I die-cut “sweet” from black glitter and white cardstocks using the Sweet Buzzword Honey Cuts. The rest of the sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock using the Pearfect Sentiments stamp set. After die-cutting the sentiments with the Pearfect Sentiment Honey Cuts, I had to do a little die-cut surgery to a couple of the die-cuts. This was super easy to do by trimming away the words that I didn’t need to create the perfect sentiment for my card!
I popped up the pineapple and “sweet” die-cuts with foam adhesive and added some yellow gems from the Hot Tropics Gem Stickers to complete my card!!
I really love how this turned out! I encourage you to take a look at those sentiment sets to see how you can combine or alter them in some way to create the perfect sentiments for your cards!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a great week!! Be sure to stop by the Honey Bee Blog later this week, as sneaks start for the new Fall Release!!
