Happy Tuesday, friends!!
I was pretty excited when I saw that the Pantone color of the year was Very Peri!! I absolutely love using that color on my cards!! I pulled out the Lovely Layers: Roses Honey Cuts from Honey Bee Stamps ( I just can’t get enough of the Lovely Layers Series) and decided to create a periwinkle rose for my card today!!
I began by die-cutting the Lovely Layers: Roses Honey Cuts from periwinkle and light green cardstock. I blended some Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink onto the base of the rose petals and white pigment ink on the edges. I also added a little Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide onto the leaves, then adhered all of the die-cuts together with Bee Creative Glue.
The Delicate Doily Card Base Honey Cut was cut from white cardstock. I used the Delicate Doily Coordinating Stencil to add Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel to the die-cut. Once it was completely dry, I adhered the doily to a panel of periwinkle cardstock and trimmed the excess from the left edge. This was adhered to a white, top-folding card base.
The sentiment was die-cut using the You Buzzwords Stamp Set and Coordinating Honey Cuts. I die-cut the top layer of “you” from periwinkle cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times and the bottom layer once from white cardstock. I blended a bit of Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink onto the lower half of the periwinkle layer for an ombre look, then stacked and adhered them together. “Are the best” was stamped onto white cardstock with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink and trimmed into a narrow banner. The rose and “you” die-cut were adhered with Bee Creative Glue, while the sentiment strip was popped up with foam tape.
How do you feel about the Very Peri color? Are you as much of a fan as I am?
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week!! See you soon!!
