I started off by die-cutting all the elements for my ice cream cone from Ice Rink cardstock using the Ice Cream Die Set. I used Distress Oxide Inks to add color and shading to all the die-cuts. I used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo for the cone; Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain for the chocolate scoop and fudge topping; Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed for the vanilla; Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry for the scoop of strawberry and Festive Berries for the cherry. All of the die-cuts were adhered together with liquid glue.

For the background, I used a Reverse Sprinkles Foilable Panel, but I didn’t foil it. I blended Vintage Photo, Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks onto it, then buffed the panel slightly to remove the excess ink. It was adhered to a panel of Salon cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set. I die-cut a panel of vellum with a die from the Scallop Rectangle Die Set and and adhered it to the background panel, adding adhesive only down the center. The ice cream cone was adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Favorite Flavor Stamp Set, was stamped onto Ice Rink cardstock with Asphalt ink and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut another layer from Salon cardstock and adhered it behind the stamped one, slightly offset. It was adhered over the cone with foam tape. A Galaxy Sticky Gem was added to each corner of the scalloped vellum panel. This also gave me a place to add a dot of liquid adhesive to the back of the vellum to hold the corners down. I added some shine to the chocolate topping and cherry with Touch of Gloss and some highlights with a white gel pen to complete the card.
