Happy Tuesday, crafters!! I hope you’re all doing well!! I finally got a chance to use the Lovely Layers: Dogwood Honey Cuts from Honey Bee Stamps!! I love all of the Lovely Layers Dies and this one is no exception!!
I began by die-cutting the Lovely Layers: Dogwood Dies from white cardstock. I used Distress Oxide Inks with detail blending brushes to add color and shading to the die-cuts. For the branches I used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness were used for the leaves. The petals of the flowers were colored with Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold and the centers with Squeezed Lemonade.
For the background, I die-cut the frame in the Layering Vintage Labels Die Set from light pink cardstock and the largest label from white cardstock. The frame was adhered to a panel of patterned paper from the Simply Spring Paper Pad with Bee Creative Glue. The white die-cut was embossed with the Dogwood Blooms 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered to the center of the frame, also using liquid glue. The dogwood branch was adhered across the front of the card, trimming the excess from the left side.
The sentiment, from the Daisy Layers Bouquet Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. The dual tone pearls from the Pastel Pearl Sticker Pack were the perfect finishing touch and matched perfectly.
This would also make a beautiful Mother’s Day card by using a stamp from the This One’s For the Girls Stamp Set, if you are still in need.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week!!
