Hello, friends and happy April!! After a unplanned detour around the US, I finally made it home from the Honey Bee 10th Anniversary Retreat Celebration on Monday morning (I was supposed to be home Sunday evening)!! I must say, if you EVER get the chance to attend a Honey Bee event, you MUST go!! Such a great way to connect with new crafty friends, cultivate life-long friendships and create cherished memories!! The event was so well-done and sooooo much fun!! BRAVO to the Honey Bee team!!
My card today features some of the goodies from the latest Pet-tastic Release!! I have a couple more cards to share from this release, then I’ll be on to spring!! The dogwoods and redbuds are blooming here in Missouri and I’m so ready for warmer weather!!

I began by die-cutting all the elements in the Lovely Layers: Tank Dies, Lovely Layers: Tank Terrarium Add-On Dies and the turtle in the Lovely Layers: Curious Critters Die Set from white cardstock. I added color, shading and details to them with Copic markers. You could also ink blend these for a faster result, but I like the details that the markers give me. Or try combining the two!! I also die-cut the frame of the terrarium from a dark gray cardstock.

I blended a very light layer of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto the background panel of my terrarium using a blender brush, then started laying out my card. The terrarium was adhered to an A2 panel of cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set using Bee Creative Glue. All of the terrarium accessories were adhered using Bee Creative Glue and the turtle was popped up with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Pet-tastic Stamp Set. This set is a must-have for all pet lovers!! It was stamped onto black cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink, then embossed with ultra-fine white embossing powder. After die-cutting it with the Coordinating Die, it was adhered with a combination of Bee Creative Glue and foam tape. I added some finishing details using a white gel pen for the highlights, a black fine-tip marker for the turtle’s mouth and a black glaze pen to add a bit of shine to the turtle’s eye.

Thank you so very much for stopping by!! I’m off to recuperate from the weekend!! Have a wonderful day!!
