Hello, friends and welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs July Release Blog Hop & Giveaway!! We’re celebrating the release of three new beautiful press plates and a unique stand-alone die set!! My card today features the stunning Summer Flower Press Plate…

I started by pressing the Summer Flower Press Plate onto a panel of white cardstock using Copic-friendly black ink and the BetterPress System. I colored the flower with Copic markers and added some colored pencil work to sharpen the lines. I also used a black Copic to darken the background.

I trimmed about 1/4″ from one side of the panel and adhered a strip of black and white striped patterned paper along the left edge. I wrapped black and white twine around the panel and tied it into a bow.

The sentiment is from the new Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set. It was pressed onto white cardstock using black pigment ink and the BetterPress, cut out with the die, then popped up with foam tape. Yellow iridescent rhinestones highlight the sentiment and finish off the card.
