Autumn Blessings – Honey Bee

Hello, friends and happy Tuesday!! Oh my goodness…how fabulous is the new Autumn Splendor Release from Honey Bee?!? SO. MUCH. GOOD. STUFF!!!

You know that I’m a fan of all of the Lovely Layers Honey Cut Sets!! I was super excited when I saw the Lovely Layers: Sunflowers! Sunflowers are one of my faves, so I couldn’t wait to use these dies!!

I began by die-cutting several of the sunflowers and leaves from white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Sunflowers Honey Cuts. I added color, depth and dimension with Copic markers, then adhered the flowers together with Bee Creative Glue.

For the background, I die-cut a piece of paper from the Halloween Harvest Paper Pad and burgundy cardstock with the Sweet Stacks Mini Slimline Dies and layered them together onto a white mini slimline card base. I arranged and adhered the leaves and sunflowers with Bee Creative Glue and trimmed the excess from the edges. I splattered on some diluted white gouache with a paint brush and set it aside to dry.

The sentiment was die-cut from burgundy cardstock and vellum using the Bitty Buzzwords: Seasons Honey Cuts. I blended a bit of brown ink onto the bottom of the burgundy layer with a blending brush for an ombre look. “Blessings” from the Bitty Buzzwords: Seasons Stamp Set was stamped onto the card front with brown ink. The “autumn” die-cut was adhered above it. Lastly, I added some dots with a yellow gel pen to the centers of the sunflowers.

Be sure to check out the rest of the fantastic Autumn Splendor Release!! It’s a good one!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
