Be My Valentine Conversation Hearts – Honey Bee

Hello crafty friends!! I’m back with my weekly Tuesday project for Honey Bee Stamps!! I was putting some products away from another project and thinking about Valentine’s Day. Chocolate, candy, hearts…candy hearts…conversation hearts!! This is how my brain works…LOL! So I challenged myself to find a way to make conversation hearts.

What do you think? I think they really resemble conversation hearts!! They even have dimension!!

I pulled out the Mae the Mouse stamp set and upon looking at some of the small sentiments, realized that they would make great “conversation” for my hearts. I also discovered that the 2nd smallest of the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts would be the perfect size. I die-cut several hearts from all different colors of cardstock (also a GREAT way to use up scraps) and then again from some fun foam that was similar in color. After stamping the sentiments from Mae the Mouse in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, I adhered the cardstock to the coordinating fun foam hearts. After arranging the hearts onto a white cardstock panel, I picked them up with Press ‘N Seal, applied liquid adhesive to the back and then adhered them to the panel. I trimmed the excess off and adhered the panel to a white card base. I die-cut a scalloped rectangle from pink cardstock with the largest of the Scallop A2 Honey Cuts, then cut the center out with a trimmer, leaving me with a scalloped frame. The sentiment is from Brie Mine, and was white heat embossed onto pink cardstock, cut with the Coordinating Honey Cuts and trimmed into a small strip. The scalloped frame and sentiment were adhered with foam adhesive. Cupcake Rhinestones filled in the area between the hearts and add some shine to the card.
