I have two cards to share with you today!! The first features the stunning Crocus Field 3D Embossing Folder with a sentiment from the Friendship Stamp Set!!

I used the “blackout” technique to make the vivid colors of the crocuses “pop” off the page!! I began by embossing the Crocus Field 3D Embossing Folder onto an A2 panel of white cardstock. I used Copic markers to color the debossed side of the panel.

Next, I added black dye ink pad directly to the panel so the high points of the design grabbed the black ink. A brayer was used to pick up some of the black ink from the pad and apply it to the panel where it needed a little more detail. I also used a black Copic marker to draw some of the details in around the stamen of the flowers, then splattered it with diluted white bleed-proof ink. Once the ink was dry, the panel was trimmed slightly and adhered to a white A2 card base.

The sentiment, from the Friendship Stamp Set, was stamped onto black cardstock with clear embossing ink and white heat embossed. I trimmed it into a banner, then popped it up along the right side with foam squares. I added some clear confetti for a bit of shine to finish off the card.

My second card features the Printmaking Clovers Stamp Set!!

I began by stamping the Printmaking Clovers Stamp Set two times onto white cardstock panels with three colors of dye ink. Both panels were splattered with diluted gold watercolor paint. Once dry, one of the panels was cut with the middle sized scalloped tag in the Scallop Tags Die Set and I fussy cut the clovers on the other panel. The middle sized pierced tag and the tab from the Scallop Tags Die Set were cut from dark green cardstock. The tags and tab were adhered together with liquid glue and I threaded gold metallic string though the hole in the tab and tied it into a bow.

A panel of green gingham cardstock was die-cut with a rectangle die and adhered to a white A2 card base. The tag was adhered with liquid glue. The sentiment is also from the Printmaking Clover Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with clear embossing ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I trimmed it, then matted it with green cardstock, leaving a thin green frame. It was popped up with foam squares, along with three of the fussy cut clovers.

I added some gold metallic baubles to finish this one off.
