BEE INSPIRED – Honey Bee Inspiration Week – Day 2

Hello there & welcome back to Day 2 of Honey Bee Stamps BEE INSPIRED Inspiration week!! Are you enjoying the inspiration so far? Be sure to visit the Honey Bee Blogevery day this week for tons of projects from the design team using the new Deerly Loved Release!!

I absolutely adore snowmen!! I don’t really collect anything (except crafting supplies, of course…lol!!), but I do have a small collection of snowmen. The Snow Buddies stamp set has the most adorable snowmen!! There are three of them, many accessories and some other small critters to choose from. For my card today, I made a little snowman couple.

Aren’t they adorable? I started off by stamping the snowmen from the Snow Buddies stamp set with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink onto white cardstock, colored them with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating.Snow Buddies Honey Cuts. I ink blended Salty Ocean Distress Oxide onto two panels of Bristol paper, splattered it with water and a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. After the panels were fully dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Jingle All They Way stamp set onto the top portion of one of the panels with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I also stamped the hanging snowflakes from the same set onto the other ink-blended panel, and embossed those in white. I used the Jingle All the Way Honey Cuts to cut out the hanging snowflakes. The two largest of the Deckle Edge A2 Honey Cuts was used to cut a frame from white cardstock. I trimmed the panel that housed the sentiment slightly, so it wouldn’t extend past the frame and adhered it to an A2 size cardbase. I adhered the snowmen, accessories, and hanging snowflakes to the front of the frame, trimming the top of the snowflakes that hung over the edge. Then I turned the entire frame over and applied foam adhesive to the back of the frame and snowmen, then adhered it to the card front. I added a few highlights with a white gel pen. I pulled out some Kiss Me Candy Heartsto bring some more red to the top of my card, but they weren’t quite dark enough. So, I used a red Copic and colored them to match.

I had so much fun working with these snowmen!!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

I’ll see you soon!!!
