Birthday Wishes for Big Fishes – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! I’m sharing a card today that combines several new products from the Adventure Awaits Release from Honey Bee Stamps!! Such a fabulous release, don’t you agree?!? My hubby, brother and dad all enjoy fishing, so these sets will get plenty of use in my craft room!!

I began by die-cutting all of the dies in the Lovely Layers: Rod & Reel Honey Cut Set from white cardstock and the reel from frosted silver cardstock. I used Copic markers to add detail and shading to the die-cuts.

Next, I blended the Fish Net Background Stencil onto cream cardstock with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink, then cut it out with a die in the Shield Layering Frames Die Set. I used the Patina Background Stencil to add Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink to a panel of light blue cardstock. I shifted it slightly and applied Bee Creative White Pigment Ink through the stencil again. I think this really looks like water droplets!! I die-cut the panel with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set, as well as a panel of cream cardstock with the largest die in the same die set. Both layers and the shield were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. The rod, reel and fishing line were also adhered with Bee Creative Glue and the fish was popped up with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Hooked On You Stamp Set. This set has so many amazing sentiments for all different occasions!! It was stamped onto cream cardstock with Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks, cut out with the Coordinating Die, then popped up with foam adhesive. A few tan gems from the Adventure Awaits Gem Sticker Pack add a bit of shine.

Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Stay tuned to the Honey Bee Stamps Blog all week for more inspiration from the design team featuring the new Adventure Awaits Release!!
