Counting My Blessings And You’re One Of Them – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, crafters and happy Tuesday!! I’m sharing a fall card featuring goodies from the Honey Bee Stamps Acorn & Ember Collection!! The In Stitches Honey Cut Die Sets are perfect for stitching on cardstock or felt creations, but I think they are also perfect for creating elements on handmade cards without the stitching, as well!!

I began by die-cutting the elements in the In Stitches: Pumpkin Die Set from orange, yellow, green, burgundy and brown cardstock. I added shading to the die-cuts with various Distress Inks using detail blending brushes. I used Carved Pumpkin, Rusty Hinge, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Seedless Preserves, Villainous Potion, Rustic Wilderness and Vintage Photo. The die-cuts were adhered together using Bee Creative Glue, then set aside to work on the background.

For the background, I embossed an A2 panel of tan cardstock with the Burlap 3D Embossing Folder. I trimmed the panel slightly, then blended a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges with a blending brush. It was adhered to a white top-folding card base. The pumpkin, flower and leaf die-cuts were adhered to the background with Bee Creative Glue. I splattered it with diluted gold watercolor pigment, then set it aside to dry.

The sentiment is from the Keepsake Sentiments: Fall Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Clear Embossing Ink and embossed with polished gold embossing powder. I die-cut it, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, using a die from the Keepsake Sentiments Fall Die Set, then stacked and adhered them together with Bee Creative Glue. I created a “nest” from metallic gold thread and adhered it under the stacked sentiments. Gold pearls from the Metallic Mix Pearl Sticker Pack were the perfect finishing touch.

That does it for me today!! Thank you so very much for stopping by!!
