Designer Spotlight – Trinity Stamps

Hello, crafty friends and happy Friday!! I hope you’ve had a great week!!

The Trinity Stamps team is featuring one of their talented designers this week!! Today I have a mini slimline card featuring the Once Upon A Mime Stamp Set illustrated by Davina Cantrell from Popsiclesticks!!

I started by stamping the images in the Once Upon A Mime Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and also cut out with the Coordinating Die. Isn’t that sentiment perfect?!?

For the background, I ink blended Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of bristol smooth cardstock using the Curtain Call Stencil Set and Blending Buddy Brushes. I love how this stencil makes the background look so dimensional!! I die-cut the panel with the second largest rectangle in the Mini Modern Embossed Slimline Die Set. The floor of the stage was die-cut from brown cardstock with a die from the Center Stage Slimline Dies. I adhered it to the bottom of the curtain panel and trimmed away the excess. That was adhered to a panel of black cardstock cut with the largest die in the Mini Modern Embossed Slimline Die Set, then a mini slimline white card base measuring 3″ x 6″.

The mimes and sentiment were adhered as shown. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and called it done!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Be sure to check out the Trinity Stamps Blog for more projects featuring Davina’s illustrations!!

Have a great weekend!!
