Egg-stra Special Easter – Honey Bee

Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your day is off to a great start!! Easter will be here in less than two weeks!! Do you have your cards finished? If not, maybe my card today for Honey Bee will inspire you to get creating!! This is a pretty simple card, but the dimension makes it egg-stra special!!

I created some panels of alcohol-inked synthetic paper a couple of weeks ago that I used to die-cut the eggs with the Build An Egg Honey Cuts. I cut the solid eggs from white cardstock and layered the alcohol-inked die-cuts over them.

I die-cut a frame with the Wood Frame Builder Dies three times from heavyweight white cardstock, then stacked and adhered them together. I love that this set comes with so many pieces to create different size frames!! I trimmed the beautiful rainbow gingham paper from the Playful Pastels Paper Pad to an A2 size, adhered it to a top-folding cardbase, then adhered the frame to it.

The back layer of eggs was adhered with liquid glue and the top layer with foam adhesive. The sentiment, from Hoppy Easter, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. It was popped up with another layer of foam adhesive for even more dimension.

That’s it!! It’s unusual for me to make a card with no coloring, but all the bright color on this one definitely makes me happy!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you soon!!
