Enjoy the Little Things in Life – Honey Bee

Hello crafty friends!! Wow!! What a week!! So much good stuff in the Honey Bee – Bee Bold Release!!

My card today features a set that was one of my favorites from the release…the Birds and the Bees stamp set & Coordinating Honey Cuts!!

I began by stamping the branch, nest, birdhouse, birds, bees & several flowers from the Birds and the Bees stamp set with pale ink onto heavyweight white cardstock. All of the images were colored with Copic markers, adding additional details and shading with colored pencils. The Birds and the Bees Honey Cuts were used to die-cut all of the images. The Enjoy stamp set and Honey Cuts were used to create the sentiment. The top layer of the Enjoy Honey Cut was cut three times from red cardstock, adhering them all together to create a thicker die-cut, while the second layer was cut from vellum. The remainder of the sentiment, from the Enjoy stamp set was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder onto a strip of blue cardstock. For the background, the clouds from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil Set, were added with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink onto a white panel cut with the largest of the Scallop A2 Card Frames Honey Cuts. This was adhered to a red cardstock panel that was cut the same size as my card base. All of the die-cut images and sentiment were then adhered to the background panel with foam adhesive. Some tiny drops of Onyx Black Nuvo Drops add some shine to the birds’ and bees’ eyes. I also used a yellow gel pen to add some dots for stamen on the flowers.

That’ll do it for me today!!! If you haven’t checked out the Bee Bold Blog Hop, here are links to Day 1 & Day 2. There is still time to leave comments for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to the Honey Bee Store!!!
