Father’s Day Card for Pops

Hello crafty friends!! I am part of an Instagram Hop with Honey Bee stamps to celebrate their newest release, Ramblin’ Man. I thought I would share the details here, in case anyone is interested!

My dad is known as “pops”, not only to me & my siblings, but everyone! All of my friends, etc. all call him pops and I love it!! I was super excited to see that the Father’s Day stamp set included “pops”, so I decided to make his Father’s Day card for the hop today!!

I began by stamping the classic car from the Car Show stamp set onto white cardstockwith Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. After coloring the car with Copics, it was cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also added some silver gel pen to the areas of the car that would be chrome. I chose a blue cardstock that was close in color to my car and did some ink blending. I used the Flames Stencil with Wilted Violet and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks. The greetings, from the Father’s Day stamp set were white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. ( I did fussy cut around “pops”.) Fun fact…I bought my dad a t-shirt a couple of years ago that read “pops…the man, the myth, the legend, so this sub-greeting was perfect! The car and greeting were all popped up with foam adhesive and my card was finished!!

  1. I just had to read how you made this FABULOUS card for your father. I know he’ll love it as much as I do. I’m so glad it matches the t-shirt you got him a few years back. Seriously Brenda I just love this card. Sincerely. Your biggest fan.
