For My Mother – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!

I’m sharing a card today that I made for my mom for Mother’s Day using some products from Honey Bee’s newest release!! You are probably more ahead of the game than I am, but I was on vacation last week and didn’t have a card made yet. The Mother’s Day stamp set and Coordinating Honey Cuts made it easy to pull this shaker card together!! It could actually be used for any occasion, not only Mother’s Day!

I started by stamping the floral image from the Mother’s Day stamp set onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copics. I die-cut the image using the Mother’s Day Honey Cuts and also die-cut it three more times from heavyweight white cardstock. I stacked and glued all of the die-cuts together to create a chipboard-like embellishment. I used one of the shaped dies included in the Mother’s Day Honey Cuts to die-cut the shaker window from white cardstock. One of the stencils from the Diamond Patterns Stencil Set and some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink added with a blending brush adds a little color to the front of the card. A mix of Clear Iridescent Sequins, Aurora Lights and Candlelight Confetti Mixes create the shaker portion. Next, the stacked die-cut floral was adhered into the opening on the front of the card. “Mother” was cut four times from heavyweight white cardstock and layered together, then adhered to the center of the shaker window. The final touch was a bit of Nuvo Crystal Glazeadded to the berries for a little shine!

I am thrilled with how this turned out!! I hope my mom likes it as much as I do!!

Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you soon!!
