Happy Baaa-lated Birthday – Honey Bee

Good morning!!! I love a good pun and Honey Bee has the best punny sentiments!! Today, I’m sharing a belated birthday card with TWO punny sentiments…

I used the Lily the Lamb (Paperpiecing) Honey Cuts. Lily is so adorable!!! I cut all the pieces for Lily from different colors of cardstock, as shown. I cut more layers from the head dies, so I could stack them for more dimension. I added some Copic marker shading to the die-cut pieces, before stacking and adhering them together. I set all of the pieces of Lily aside to work on the background. The cloud stencil from the Outdoor Scene Builder Set was used with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink on the background panel. TheFarm Fence Honey Cuts were used to die-cut the fence from kraft cardstock and adhered to the background panel. “I’m Sorry”, fromMy Baaad, was stamped onto green cardstock withMemento Tuxedo Black Ink. TheGrass Border Honey Cut was then used to cut the top edge of the green cardstock, adhering at the bottom of the background panel. “Happy Birthday”, fromLily the Lamb was stamped onto the background panel, also usingMomento Tuxedo Black Ink. “Baaah-lated”, fromLily & “Wooly”, fromMy Baaad, were both heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and cut out with the coordinating Honey Cuts (Lily & My Baaad), before adhering withfoam adhesive to complete the sentiments. A few clouds were cut from white cardstock with thePartly Cloudy Honey Cuts. The negative die-cut of Lily was used to paper piece her together and adhered to the panel. A few sequins from theCloudy Day Mix were sprinkled onto the sky for the finishing touch.
