Happy Birthday Sunflowers – Trinity Stamps

Hello,  friends!! I hope you are experiencing a touch of fall where you live!! It has definitely cooled off in the Midwest this week!! It is downright COLD at night!!

I have an autumnal birthday card to share with you today for Trinity Stamps!! I got to use the stunning Sunflower Bouquet Builder with the Spring Fling Florals on a card HERE, but I wanted to use the sunflowers by themselves. I absolutely LOVE traditional sunflowers (in fact, my kitchen and dining room are decorated with them), but I wanted to try a different color combo. When I typed “sunflowers” in Google Images, these stunning pinkish-burgundy blooms came up, so that’s what I went with!!

I stamped the images from the Sunflower Bouquet Builder stamp set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers and adding some details with colored pencils, I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The greeting, also from Sunflower Bouquet Builder, was white heat embossed onto a scalloped rectangle panel of burgundy cardstock.  I arranged the blooms, glued them together and popped the entire arrangement up with foam adhesive above the sentiment.

The scalloped rectangle was also adhered with foam tape onto some gingham patterned paper, which was matted with the same burgundy cardstock.  I added some details to the center of the sunflowers with a yellow gel pen. I selected some mustard yellow sequins from the Autumn Leaves Embellishment Mix for the finishing touch!!

That’ll do it for me today!! I hope that I’ve inspired you with this autumn birthday card!!

Have a wonderful weekend!! I’ll see you soon!!

  1. I don’t see people using these dark rich colours very often. Such a beautiful card. It makes me wish that we had Autumn here.
