Happy Birthday You Old Goat – Honey Bee

Hello, crafty friends!!! I hope everyone is staying safe and sane!!

When you get to be my age, friends have birthdays for ages which are considered to be “over the hill”. Actually, I think these celebrations start as early as the age of 30…ha! I’m sharing a card that I’ve had in my head since the release of the Way to Goat stamp set from Honey Bee, I just had to figure out how to create the greeting!

I began by stamping the goat from Way to Goat onto white cardstock with Momento Black Ink, coloring it with Copics and cutting it out with the Coordinating Dies. I cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to fit on a slimline cardbase and ink-blended Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress Oxides onto it with Blending Brushes. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel.

For the greeting, I white heat embossed “Happy”, from the Birthday Stamp Set and “You Old”, from You’re A Classic (using some creative masking), onto black cardstock, then cut them into strips. The Birthday Honey Cuts were cut from black and white cardstock, and “goat” was cut from black cardstock with the Bee Bold Lowercase Honey Cuts. I adhered all of the elements as shown and added some enamel dots from the Back to Basics Enamel Stickers pack.

That’s it!! Super simple card that is perfect for any “over the hill” birthdays you may have coming up!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! I’ll see you soon!!!
