Hello, friends!! I’m sharing a Father’s Day project featuring the Lovely Layers: Wallet Honey Cut Set from Honey Bee Stamps today!! This set creates a unique way to present a gift card or cash (or both)!! I love that you can create a masculine or feminine wallet personalized for the recipient!!

I began by die-cutting all the elements for the wallet from tan, brown, black and matte gold cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Wallet Die Set. I die-cut the largest die from tan and brown cardstock so I could make the inside “liner” of the wallet brown. The brown layer was cut in half and I trimmed the crease away to make it easier to fold.

The outside tan layer was embossed with the Tooled Leather 3D Embossing Folder and Brushed Corduroy and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink was blended over the embossed area with a sponge dauber. I also added a bit of ink blending to the tan pieces for the inside of the wallet with blending brushes. The flaps were folded along the score lines and reinforced with a bone folder. All the elements were adhered together using Bee Creative Glue, being sure to leave the edges open to slide the GC and cash into.

The sentiment on the outside of the wallet was created with the Great Man Stamp Set. It was stamped onto tan cardstock with black pigment ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered with Bee Creative Glue.

The sentiment on the inside is from the Nailed It Stamp Set. It was stamped directly on the pocket with black pigment ink. 

I used a black fine-line marker to draw in the stitching along all of the edges where the stitched lines are and this project was finished.

I think my dad will love this for Father’s Day!!
