Happy Halloween – Graveyard Scene – Honey Bee

Happy Tuesday everyone!! Hopefully you enjoyed Honey Bee’s Autumn Blessings Inspiration Week!! So many amazing projects and so much inspiration!!

There were some fantastic ideas using the Haunted House Add-On Honey Cuts. Although those dies are meant to work with the House Builder Honey Cuts, I wanted to show you that they could be used on their own to create a graveyard scene!!

Halloween-Graveyard-1

I began by die-cutting all of my elements from Bristol paper using the Haunted House Add-On, Grass Border and the moon from Partly Cloudy. I used Distress Oxide Inks to add color to all of the die-cuts and splattered some diluted gouache on the tombstones for a concrete look. I blended Distress Oxides onto another Bristol panel, splattered with water, Perfect Pearls and diluted gouache.

Once dry, I die-cut the panel using the largest of the Deckle Edge A2 Honey Cuts. I also cut the edges of the grass die-cuts with the same die. The greeting, from Faboolous Sentiments, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut into a strip with the Cut-Align tool. Now the fun part!! I layered and adhered everything together as shown, popping up the ghosts with foam tape.

Halloween-Graveyard-3

This scene was so much fun to put together!! You could also die-cut all of the elements from colored cardstock, but I enjoyed getting inky!!

Thanks for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
