Happy Halloween Slimline Card – Scrappy Tails Crafts

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!! I have a colorful slimline Halloween card to share with you today for Scrappy Tails Crafts!!

I began by die-cutting the Slimline Graveyard Borders Dies from black cardstock. I also die-cut two extra layers of the bottom border from black cardstock and adhered them behind the front one, for dimension. I added some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink to some of the edges with a blending brush and adhered yellow cardstock behind the jack-o-lanterns.

For the background, I blended Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink onto the center of a slimline panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. I masked a circle, then blended Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon, Seedless Preserves and Villainous Potion Distress Oxides onto the panel. I splattered it with clean water, picked up the excess with a paper towel, then splattered it with diluted white gouache. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment, from the Witch’s Brew Stamp Set, onto the moon with black ink. The border dies were adhered to the bottom of the panel and the excess was trimmed from all of the edges.

Next, the ghosts from the Friendly Mini Ghosts Die Set, were cut from white cardstock and the faces were backed with small pieces of black cardstock. The ghosts were adhered with a combination of liquid and foam adhesive, weaving a couple of them into the trees.

I really love how this turned out and I hope you do, as well!!

Thanks for dropping by today!! Have a great day and I’ll see you soon!!

Brenda
