Birthdays are probably the occasion that I send the most cards for, so I was super excited to see the Strike Up The Fun Stamp Set and the Make A Wish Cake 3D Embossing Folder!!

I started by stamping the images from the Strike Up The Fun Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then fussy cut them out. There are Coordinating Dies available, but I don’t have them, so I just trimmed them out with my scissors.

For the background, I embossed an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Make A Wish Cake 3D Embossing Folder. I blended it with Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed Distress Inks using blending brushes. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 panel of black cardstock. The cupcakes and accessories were adhered toward the bottom of the card with liquid glue.

The sentiment is also included in the Strike Up The Fun Stamp Set. It was stamped onto black cardstock with clear embossing ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I used the second smallest die in the Stitched Circles Die Set to cut it out, then popped it up with a foam square. I added highlights with a white gel pen and a bit of shimmer with a clear shimmer marker. The tiny stars in the Strike Up The Fun Stamp Set were stamped around the cupcakes to finish off the card.
