Party Animal Badge

Hello crafty friends!! If you love critters, you’re in for a treat this week, as it is Party Animal week on the Honey Bee Blog!! The design team is showcasing all of the animals and how well they work together!

There is also a discount of 15% off of all the animals in the Party Animal category until Saturday, March 9. THE COUPON CODE IS: PARTY15 to save the 15%.

I wanted to create a birthday party that included many of the critters!!

I started by stamping the animals from Blah Humbunny, Feelin’ Foxy, Mae the Mouse, Penny the Platypus and Pinky the Pig onto Bristol paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I also stamped the gift from Penny the Platypus and all of the party accessories from Pinky the Pig. After all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Markers, they were cut out using the Coordinating Honey Cut Dies (Blah Humbunny, Feelin’ Foxy, Mae the Mouse, Penny the Platypus and Pinky the Pig). I used a black glaze pen, white gel pen and silver stardust pen to add details to the critters and accessories and adhered the party supplies to each animal. I trimmed a piece of Bristol paper for a slim-line card and stamped the balloons from Penny the Platypus with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, using masks to overlap when needed. The balloons were also shaded with Zig markers. After it was totally dry, the HBD2U was stamped onto the balloons using the Color Me Alpha. I filled them in with a silver stardust pen. Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks were blended from the bottom of the Bristol panel. After adhering all of the party guests to the bottom of the Bristol panel with foam adhesive, the excess was trimmed off. I added some silver glitter tape to the top and bottom of a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ cardbase and adhered my main panel to it. I thought the Bokeh Lights Confetti looked like bubbles and what’s a party without a bubble machine?
