Hello Bluebird – Best Days

Hello, friends and happy hump day!!

Have you checked out the Hello Bluebird latest release? So many great stamp sets and dies!! I have a card to share with you today that combines several of the goodies from that release!

I started by stamping all of the adorable images in the Best Days Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink, then colored them with Copic markers. Here are the colors that I used:

  • Bicycle & collar: BG15, BG13, BG11
  • Jeans: B97, B95, B93, B91
  • Shirt, balloon & pink flowers: R85, R83, R81, RV11
  • Headband, bee & yellow flowers: Y17, Y08, Y01
  • Corgi: E99, E97, E13, E11
  • Brown dog: E29, E25, E15, E13
  • Pup in basket: YR24, YR23, YR21, Y02
  • Skin tone: E13, E11, E00, E50
  • Hair & baskets: E37, E35, E33, E31
  • Kitten: W03, W01, W00
  • Leaves: YG17, YG03, YG01

I die-cut the images with the Coordinating Dies, then got started on the background.

I blended some Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks onto the lower part of a square, white top-folding card base. I added some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide with a cloud stencil and blending brush for the sky. A frame was die-cut from patterned paper using the Gallery Frame #7 Die and adhered to the card base.

“Just to say” is from the Big Greetings Stamp Set. I just LOVE this font!! It was stamped onto white cardstock with black ink and cut out with its Coordinating Die. The rest of the sentiment, from the Best Days Stamp Set, was stamped toward the bottom of the card with black ink. How perfect is this sentiment?!? Most of the die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue, except the bee and puppies at the bottom were popped up with foam adhesive. I used a black glaze pen to darken and add shine to the eyes and noses and a white gel pen to add some highlights.

I know some of my best days are with my sweet pups and this super-sweet stamp set makes me soooo happy!!

Thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great Wednesday!!
