Happy Thursday, friends!! I hope your week is going well!! I’m sharing a circle shaped card featuring the Orange You Glad Circle Card Add-On Die Set and the Hey, Cutie Stamps & Coordinating Dies from the newest Trinity Stamps release!! You know I LOVE a shaped card!!
I began by die-cutting the round card base using the Circle Shaped Card Die Set. It was folded along the score line and the fold was reinforced with a Teflon Folding Tool.
Next, I die-cut the outer circle in the Orange You Glad Circle Card Add-On Dies from orange cardstock, the inner pieces from white cardstock and the leaf and stem from green cardstock. I colored the white sections of the orange with alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen. The die-cuts were adhered together with liquid glue, insetting the orange sections into the white die-cut. I blended a bit of darker green ink onto the leaf and stem with a Shading Sidekick Brush, then adhered it with liquid glue.
The sentiment is a combination for the Orange You Glad Circle Card Add-On Die Set and the Hey, Cutie Stamps & Coordinating Dies. The top layer of “Orange” was die-cut from orange cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock three times. (Be sure to save the center of the “O”.) The shadow layer was die-cut three times from white cardstock. I colored the inside of the “O” with alcohol markers and a white gel pen. The rest of the sentiment, from the Hey, Cutie Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with orange dye ink and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I also die-cut two more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. All the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue.
The orange die-cuts were adhered to the round card base.
The sentiment die-cuts were adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue and this card was finished.
