Honey Bee Stamps – Day 4 Sneak Peek

Hey there!! Happy Independence Day to those of you who celebrate!! I’m back with another sneak peek for Day 4 of the Hello Summer Release from Honey Bee!!

Who’s ready for a luau party? My card today features a sneak of the Luau stamp set and Coordinating Dies, along with some previously released products!! (Links to the goodies from the new release will not be active until they go on sale at midnight on July 5th.)

I stamped some of the images from from the Luau stamp set onto white cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copics and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The grassy plant was stamped with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide before die-cutting.

The Party Honey Cuts and Party stamp set provides the perfect sentiment for my luau party!! I die-cut “party” from red, blue and white cardstocks and stacked them together. I snipped the tail of the letter y and looped the lei onto it, so it would appear to be hanging from the y. “Let’s” was white heat embossed onto a red cardstock strip.

For the background, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink onto a white cardbase using the Geometric Background Stencil and a Blending Brush. I die-cut frames with the A2 Thin Frames Honey Cut from the same red and blue cardstocks and added them to the card panel. The luau icons were adhered with liquid and foam adhesive and the sentiment and sentiment strip were also popped up with foam tape. A few red iridescent sequins from the Rainbow Deluxe Sequin Set finishes off the card.

That’s it for me today!! Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Blog for more inspiration and sneak peeks!!

Have a great holiday weekend!!!

  1. I love this card! I finally got a pad of that same Tumbled Glass ink. I can’t wait to use it. Such a beautiful soft colour. I hope you had a good Independence Day in spite of the madness going on in your country and seeing a new card reassures me that you’re safe and sound. After The Tons, the cards you make from Honey Bees are my 2nd favourite. I really love those Buzz words. Gosh, they’re really lovely.
