Let’s Hang Out – Picket Fence Studios

Happy Monday, fellow crafters!! I hope you had a great weekend!!

I’ve had a love for cute frogs since I was young, so I was super excited when Picket Fence Studios came out with more adorable frogs!! The More of Dropping by to Say Croak Set has four pair or groups of adorable frogs!! Each group is involved in their own activities, from snorkeling, to swimming or hanging out on the beach!! So fun!!

I began by stamping the four frogs hanging out on the beach from the More of Stopping By to Say Croak Stamp Set, onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink. I colored them with Copics, then fussy cut them out. (There will be Coordinating Dies available, but there is a slight manufacturing delay.)

I also stamped images from the Pond Scenery Stamp Set onto white cardstock with PFS Hybrid Black Ink. I used my Copics to color them, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink onto the bottom of a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with a Life Changing Blender Brush. I splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. Once it was dry, I stamped the waves from the You Were Mermaid for Me Stamp Set over the ink blended portion with the same distress oxide ink. I used the Slimline Cloud Coverage Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with a Life Changing Blender Brush to add the clouds to the top of the panel. The boulders were cut in half and adhered to each side of the ink blended panel. The frogs were adhered to the lily pad, then it was popped up on the background with foam tape.

The sentiment, also from the More of Dropping By to Say Croak, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then fussy cut. It was adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. Finally, I added some highlights with a white gel pen and I was finished.

Thank you so much for spending part of your Monday with me!! Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!
