Life Is Better In Flip Flops – Honey Bee

Hello, friends and happy Tuesday!!! I hope your day is off to a good start!!

I have a card to share with you today using several products from the Honey Bee Hello Summer Release!!

I started off by die-cutting the flip flops with the Flip Flop Builder Honey Cuts from two sheets of patterned paper in the Hot Tropics Paper Pad. The flowers and leaves were cut from white cardstock using the Tropical Bouquets Honey Cuts. I used the following Distress Oxide Inks and blending brushes to give them their color: Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles.

For the background, the Pineapple Lattice Cover Plate – Base and Pineapple Lattice Cover Plate – Top Dies were cut from white cardstock and adhered to a white cardbase for a tone-on-tone look. I die-cut an oval from a sheet of patterned paper in the Beach Vibes Paper Pad using one of the dies from the Double Stitched Oval Honey Cuts.

The greeting, from the Flippin’ Fabulous stamp set, was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto white cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The leaves were adhered under the oval, while the bloom, flip flops and sentiment were adhered on top with foam adhesive.

I really love how this turned out!! I LIVE in flip flops in the summer, so this sentiment sure rings true for me!!!

Have a great week and I’ll see you soon!!!
