Love You – Hello Bluebird

Hello, friends and happy Sunday!! I hope you’re having a great weekend!!

I have a card to share today featuring goodies from the Hello Bluebird latest release!! I LOVE combining different stamp sets and dies…I feel like I’m getting the most from my stash that way!! Although the Word Buddies Jungle Stamp Set is meant to used with words or letters, I thought I would show another way to use them.

I began by stamping the adorable critters in the Word Buddies Jungle Stamp Set with Copic friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics and cut them out with their Coordinating Dies. For the background, I ink blended Kitsch Flamingo and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of bristol smooth cardstock with blending brushes.

For the sentiment, I used a combination of die-cuts from the You Make Me Smile Word Die and the Gallery Frame #6 Die. I die-cut “love” and “YOU”, along with the frame from the Gallery Frame #6 Die, three times from white cardstock, stacked and adhered them together for dimension. The top layer of “love” was cut from a panel of white cardstock that was blended with Kitsch Flamingo, so it matched my background perfectly. The frame and sentiment die-cuts were adhered to the background panel with liquid adhesive as shown.

The little critters were lined up across the top and bottom and adhered with dimensional adhesive. I added black glaze pen for a little shine and to darken the eyes and noses, then added highlights with a white gel pen.

That’s it!! I hope I’ve inspired you to look at different ways to combine your stash!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll see you soon!!!
