Merry Christmas – Alex Syberia Designs Festive Poinsettia

Happy Monday, fellow crafters!! I have a Christmas card to share for Alex Syberia Designs today!! I couldn’t let Christmas In July pass without breaking out one of my favorite poinsettias EVER!! I decided to use a non-traditional blue with a touch of gold color scheme!!

I began by die-cutting the Festive Poinsettia Die from white cardstock and stenciling the Festive Poinsettia Stencil Set onto it with with dye inks and blending brushes. I also stenciled the top layer onto another panel of white cardstock and fussy cut it out. I adhered the center of the top layer with liquid glue and popped up each of the petals either foam squares. I splattered it with diluted white bleed-proof ink using a paint brush.

For the background, I die-cut the Sparkly Flakes Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 white top-folding card base. The Bow Ho Ho Frame Die was cut from blue glitter cardstock in the Royal Elegance Mix Cardstock Pack. It was adhered to the background with liquid glue. The poinsettia was also adhered with liquid glue, trimming the excess from the edge.

The sentiment is also from the Bow Ho Ho Frame Die Set. The top layer was cut once from the same blue glitter cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the lower, right corner. I added some matte gold pearls tot he center of the poinsettia and a trio around the sentiment and this card was finished.

I hope you love this as much as I do!! Do you start on your Christmas cards this early? I hope I’ve inspired you, whenever you get started!!

Have a wonderful week!!
