Non-Traditional Christmas Card Colors – Honey Bee

Hello & happy Tuesday, friends!!

There’s nothing that puts me in the Chrismas spirit more than fresh snowfall. We just had a couple of inches fall yesterday & it looks like a winter wonderland outside my window!! I’m not a big fan of winter, but if it’s going to be cold, it may as well snow!

I really enjoy Christmas trimmings in non-traditional colors. I love pops of pink or blue in my gift wrapping and cards. Today, I chose to pair up a pretty pink with a more traditional green…

This Background Builder stamp set from the newest release is full of so many possibilities!! The different stamps can be mixed and matched to create limitless patterns and color combos. I started by creating a couple of background panels on white cardstock using the Background Builder stamp set with pink & green inks. I trimmed the panels and matted them with pink cardstock, before adhering them to A2 top-folding note cards. I cut a couple of frames from green glitter paper using two of the Deckle Edge A2 Honey Cuts. I trimmed some vellum to fit behind the frames and adhered the frames with foam tape. I die-cut Holly Jolly and Merry with the FA LA LA Honey Cuts from green glitter paper and pink cardstock and layered them together. The sentiments were completed with the FA LA LA stamp set with white heat embossing on pink cardstock strips. The die-cuts and sentiment strips were also adhered with dimensional tape. A few pieces of confetti from the Bubble Gum & Lucky Clover Confetti mixes complete the cards!

I am really loving this color combo!! I would love to have gift wrap that matched these polka dot and striped patterns!!

How about you? Do you prefer non-traditional or traditional colors in your holiday wrapping?

Thanks for stopping by today!! I’ll see you soon!!
