Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown Day 1

Hello, friends!! Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown!! I have two cards to share with you today featuring some of the new goodies that will be available for purchase on Tuesday, April 25 at 10 PM EST!!

The first one is a soft Anniversary card that combines a couple of new products with a few goodies that are new to me!!

I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Inside Greetings: Celebration 2 Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Aqua Mist ink and cut it out with a die from the Love to Layer: Lovely Bracket Die Set. The Elegant Edges: Baroque Die Set was used to cut the decorative panel from Aqua Mist and white cardstock. I added a bit of Classic Kraft ink to the edges of that panel, as well as the label die-cut. I white heat embossed a stamp from the Tuck It Sentiments Stamp Set onto the center of the aqua panel, then wrapped an organza polka-dot ribbon around it.

I used Classic Kraft and Aqua Mist ink with the Weathered Tiles Stencils on a panel of white cardstock for the background. The largest die from the Border Bling: Embossed Skinny Frame Die Set was cut from Aqua Mist cardstock.

The label with the sentiment was popped up with foam adhesive, tucking the edges under the baroque die-cuts. I added a few pearl accents to finish it off.

My second card is for the guys!! I always struggle with masculine cards, but this release solves that problem for me!!

This one was created with the new A Little Rugged Stamps & Dies, Ripped Banners Dies and the Vertical Chevron Stencil Set.

The stamps from the A Little Rugged Stamp Set were stamped onto white cardstock with Prairie Grass, Blueberry Sky and black ink, then cut out with the A Little Rugged Coordinating Dies and one of the Ripped Banners Dies. The Vertical Chevron Stencil was inked onto a panel of white cardstock with the same ink colors, but instead of lining if up, I offset it a bit to leave some white space. I also added some splatters by diluting the inks and tapping them on with a paint brush. One of the Ripped Banners Dies was cut from Blueberry Sky cardstock and adhered to the left side of the chevron panel, trimming away the excess. It was then added to an A2 panel of Enchanted Evening cardstock.

I wrapped a bit of twine around the left side of the card and popped up the sentiment die-cuts with foam adhesive and this one was finished.

That’s it for day 1 of the countdown!! I’ll see you back here tomorrow for day 2!!

Have a great Friday!!
