Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown Day 3

Hello, friends!! Welcome back to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown!! I have two more cards to share with you today featuring some of the new goodies that will be available for purchase on Tuesday, April 25 at 10 PM EST!!

My first card features the new Psalm Reflections: April Stamps & Coordinating Dies, along with the Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties Die Set!! I chose to make a 5”x7” card so I could fit these beautiful floral die-cuts into opposite corners of my card.

I began by die-cutting the flowers using the Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties Die Set from Lilac Grace, Amethyst Allure, Royal Velvet, Harvest Gold & Lemon Tart cardstock and the leaves from New Leaf and Tropical Teal cardstock. I added a bit of Royal Velvet ink to the center of one of the smallest flowers, then stacked and adhered all of the layers together with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Psalm Reflections: April Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Royal Velvet ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The background panel of Lilac Grace cardstock was trimmed slightly smaller than 5”x7” and the pierced design from the Psalm Reflections Die was die-cut into each corner. I brushed a bit of Royal Velvet ink around the outside of the panel, along with the die-cut that the sentiment was stamped onto.

From here, I just needed to arrange and adhere everything together and this card was complete.

My second card combines the new Raising the Bar Hot Foil Plate, Larger Than Life: Dad Die, Larger Than Life Dad Sentiments Stamp Set and Tuck It: Dad Stamps & Dies.

I started by stamping the fishing rod and fish from the Tuck It: Dad Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Prairie Grass, Pine Feather, Classic Kraft and black ink, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also die-cut the Larger Than Life: Dad Die once from Prairie Grass cardstock and three times from white cardstock and adhered them together, slightly off-setting the top layer.

For the background, I ran the Raising the Bar Hot Foil Plate through my die-cut machine with an embossing mat and Blueberry Sky cardstock to create an impression into the paper. I swiped a Blueberry Sky stamp pad over the raised side to bring out the texture created with the hot foil plate. The largest Border Bling: Skinny Embossed Frames Die was cut from Prairie Grass cardstock and adhered around the outside of the blue panel.

The sub-sentiments, from the Larger Than Life: Dad Stamp Set, we’re stamped onto white cardstock with Prairie Grass ink. “World’s Greatest” was die-cut with the oval die from the Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets Die Set. Most of the die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue, popping up the fish with a bit of foam tape.

That’ll do it for day 3 of the countdown!! I’ll see you tomorrow for the 4th and final day!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
