Peony Birthday Card – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, crafty friends!! I hope you’re enjoying all the inspiration with the new Birthday Bliss Release!!

I have a birthday card to share with you today featuring the stunning Lovely Layers: Peony Honey Cut Set!! I just ADORE all of the Lovely Layers Dies, so I was so excited to see this one!!

I began by die-cutting all the petals of the peonies from pink cardstock and leaves from green cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Peony Honey Cut Set. I added shading to the petals with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide and a blending brush. Rustic Wilderness Oxide Ink was used to shade the leaves. Once that was dry, I assembled the flowers and buds with Bee Creative Glue, adding foam tape to the top two layers. I splattered the flowers and leaves with diluted white gouache.

For the background, I inked Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide onto a panel of white cardstock through the Geotrellis Stencil (sneak peek of a stencil releasing at the end of this month) with a blending brush. I die-cut the panel with the third largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangle Die Set. I also used the largest die in the A2 Scallop Card Frame Die Set to cut a scalloped panel from pink cardstock. Both the inked panel and scalloped panel were adhered to a white, top-folding card base.

The sentiment, from the Birthday Wishes Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and cut out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. It was adhered with a combination of Bee Creative Glue and foam adhesive. Lots of True Pearls Pearl Stickers added all around the outside was the perfect finishing touch!!

Now I want to make peonies in all the colors!!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!
