Picket Fence Studios February Release

Hello, friends and happy Valentine’s Day!! It’s release day for the Picket Fence Studios February Release!! So much goodness!! There’s a fun and inspiring hop happening over on IG…I’ll pop a link to my account at the bottom of this post so you can join in the fun and possibly win a $75 GC to the Picket Fence Studios Shop!!

I have two cards to share with you today!! One features only stamping and coloring, while the other is mostly die-cuts!! Let’s start with the die-cut one!!

I began by die-cutting the window frame, curtain, window box, flowers and leaves from dark gray, brown, green, blue gingham, two colors of green and two colors of pink cardstock using the Pretty Flower Box & Window Die Set. I trimmed a piece of light yellow cardstock to place behind the opening in the window.

For the “siding”, I die-cut the Slimline Against the Grain Cover Plate Die from gray cardstock and cut it into strips. I inked the edges with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a Life Changing Blender Brush. The strips were adhered to a panel of white cardstock, trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 white card base. All of the die-cuts were arranged and adhered as shown.

The sentiment is from the Peter Bunny & Friends Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto dark gray cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip, then popped up with foam adhesive. Sequins from the Chicks In the Grass and All About the Yellows mixes were adhered to the centers of the flowers, along with circles die-cut from yellow and pink cardstock using dies in the Pretty Flower Box & Window Die Set.

My second card showcases The Flower Shoppe Stamp Set. I love a set that I can just stamp, color, add a sentiment and have a finished card!! Sometimes it’s nice to just color and not have to think about the design.

The Flower Shoppe Stamp Set was stamped onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic markers. I added highlights with a white gel pen and stamen to some of the flowers with a yellow gel pen.

I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 size panel of pink cardstock.

The sentiment, also from The Flower Shoppe set, was stamped onto white cardstock with PFS Black Hybrid Ink, then trimmed into a rectangle. It was matted with pink cardstock and popped up with foam tape. I LOVE that sentiment!!

That’ll do it for me today!! Hop on over and join in the festivities on Instagram @mypapercutcreations. Be sure to check out the entire fabulous new release over in the Picket Fence Shop!!

Have a great Valentine’s Day and I’ll see you soon!!
