Red, White & Blue Week – Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, friends!! It’s red, white & Blue week at Honey Bee Stamps!! All week long, the design team will be sharing projects in patriotic colors to celebrate the upcoming holiday!! Be sure to follow along for inspiration and giveaways all week!!

For my project today, I combined products from the newest Summer Stems Release with some previously released goodies!!!

I began by stamping the flowers and balloons from the Riding By Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

Using the Bicycle Builder Honey Cut Set, I die-cut the parts of the bicycle from red, gray, white and frosted silver cardstock. I found a jar that fit perfectly on the tire to trace around and added the “white wall” with a white gel pen, then adhered all of the components together with Bee Creative Precision Glue.

For the background, I added iridescent glitter gel through the Twinkle, Twinkle Background Stencil onto a navy blue cardstock panel with a palette knife. The grass was die-cut from green cardstock using a die from the Horizon Slimline Borders Honey Cut Set. Once the background was dry, I set about adhering all of the die-cuts with Bee Creative Precision Glue, tucking the flowers and tire behind the grass to add the look of dimension.

The sentiments are from the United We Stand Stamp Set. This set also includes stamps to create a really cool flag, but I only used the sentiments here. They were stamped onto white cardstock with blue ink and cut out with the Coordinating Dies, then popped up with foam adhesive. The final touch was a few highlights that were added with a white gel pen.

I really love how this turned out!! I hope it inspires you to create something for Red, White and Blue Week!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Stay tuned to the Honey Bee Blog for more inspiring projects from the design team this week!!
