Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Party

Hello, friends!! We’re celebrating STAMPtember with a HUGE blog party today!! You can find all of the participants on the SSS Blog and shop the entire Simon Says Stamp branded collection of goodies HERE!! I have info how you can get the FREE exclusive Festive Bunting Die Set in the graphic below!! Stay tuned for collaborations with some of your favorite crafting companies throughout the month of September!!

My card today features the adorable Witches Cottage Die Set!!

I started by die-cutting all of the elements in the Witches Cottage Die Set from orange, yellow, green, purple, black, white and brushed gold cardstock. I added shading to the die-cuts using Distress Ink and blending brushes, then adhered all of them together with liquid glue.

A panel of dark blue cardstock was die-cut with a stitched rectangle die and blended with Black Soot Distress Ink around the outside. It was splattered with white bleed-proof ink. The hill was trimmed by hand, then blended with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks and adhered to the bottom of the background panel with liquid glue. The moon was die-cut from yellow cardstock with a die in the Stitched Circles Die Set and blended with Mustard Seed Distress Ink, then adhered to the background. The cottage was adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Sweet Halloween Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was popped up with foam squares. I added highlights with a white gel pen to finish off the card.

That does it for my card today! Be sure to check out the entire Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Collection and visit the SSS blog for links to all of the participants in the blog party hop!! If you’re shopping, don’t forget to use the code above to get that free gift!!

  1. What a fun card !! I love Halloween cards, they are fun to make & to send. They can be a totally different color scheme from most other cards we often make or at least that I typically make. I love to break out the bright oranges, lime greens & purples and put them all together with whimsical images. Your card is like a Halloween party in an envelope, SO FUN !!
